DHR manages investment portfolios. In other areas of wealth management, such as tax advice or tax returns, legal advice or legal documents, insurance, administration of business retirement plans or transactions in real estate, our clients retain their own specializing advisors. We believe that this independence of advisors helps our clients obtain objective advice and increases the value of independent professionals.

Our comprehensive service includes facilitating interaction and communication between our clients and their other professionals. By understanding our clients’ situations we can recognize when expert help is needed and recommend appropriate professional advice. In many cases we create joint conferences, thus assuring that clients and advisors share a common understanding.

We have found that an annual conference in the fall with client and accountant enables all three participants – client, tax professionals and investment advisor, to identify opportunities for tax savings before the year has expired. DHR organizes these meetings and supplies the tax professional with relevant portfolio information, and prompts clients to gather other needed information.

We create periodic meetings with clients to review their situations with their estate planning attorneys, life insurance agents and casualty insurance agents. DHR creates a calendar for these reviews and then arranges the meetings, preparation and follow-up.

This comprehensive process gives DHR clients maximum value from all their advisors but does not add layers of unnecessary cost. It also means that, when trying to “get around to it,” our clients no longer have a problem - they have a procedure, a process and a professional office to manage it.
